Our client a world leading Payments organisation based in London is currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Lead.
The successful candidate will lead critical business readiness activities across the Procurement Systems Integration Programme. Provide Sourcing expertise for all of the procurement categories in Europe, support for each category the development of a guided buying channel strategy and the operationalisation plan for category preferred suppliers within the Ariba P2P platform. Advise and support category management to effectively and efficiently review supplier expenditure, determining preferred suppliers and appropriate buying channels. Work with the Preferred Suppliers to implement buying channels on the Ariba Supplier Network, amending contracts as required.
Key accountabilities:
- Engage with Global Sourcing to asses Europe's ability to adopt any of Global's current guided buying content and develop adoption approach eg contract enablement.
- Engage with Category Leads and senior stakeholders, to conduct a deep dive spend analysis on what Europe buys, who buys it, who the organization buys it from, to fully understand buying requirements and to define and implement buying channel strategies, plans and processes for the Preferred Suppliers within categories.
- Engage with Ariba to confirm buying channel functionality within Ariba P2P and based on detailed category spend analysis determine best in class buying channel strategies and enablement.
- Act as an escalation point for the Procurement teams, guiding and supporting them through buying channel enablement.
- Lead, coach and develop the team to proactively drive buying channel adoption and ongoing maintenance.
- Minimum ten years sourcing experience in complex markets.
- Proven capability in negotiating sourcing deals.
- Proven track record in relevant categories, with comparable levels of spend and complexity.
- Extensive Ariba implementation experience.
- Postgraduate procurement accreditation preferred (MCIPS or MIIAPS).
- Facilitate existing relationships with strategic/preferred suppliers to enable implementation of buying channel options and where necessary negotiate contract amendments to support enablement.
