My client is a leading household retailer, currently undergoing a Finance Transformation programme which is seen as the largest programme of it's kind in UK Retail history. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Process Analyst to work as part of the Treasury Workstream
The Process Analyst will be responsible for documenting, analysing and supporting the global business process design (and localisation where required) with a specific focus on process mapping and the production of Standard Operating Procedures for Treasury, as well as assisting with the preparation of testing and training.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant (from Treasury) with project experience to join a leading retailer to assist with the design and documentation of processes supported by new applications such as Oracle Fusion and Findur (Treasury Management System).
Key responsibilities
- Documenting to-be business processes (process maps) and recognising their inter-dependencies within Treasury or with other workstreams
- Work with the Governance and Control team to receive their input into the process design which will result in a risk and control Matrix and sign-off by the business
- Documenting the business processes in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work with the business to receive their input into the process design and content for the SOPs through to final sign off
- Examines existing processes and evaluates them within the context of organizational goals
- Identifies potential areas of vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance to management on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
- Input into the weekly workstream status report
- Maintains high degree of creditability, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant with a Treasury background
- Proficient in the use of analytic tools such as data gathering and analysis, spreadsheets, flow-charting and process diagramming
- Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in the banking and treasury environment
- Experience of working across multiple locations, business functions and cultures
- Working in large systems implementations
- Good understanding of Treasury Management Systems
- ARIS process architecture tool
- Oracle Fusion and Findur experience
