Description

Our client, a leading asset manager, are looking for a Business Analyst. The role sits within a group of Business Analysts within the Solutions Delivery team, aligned to the Investment Execution & Control business area.

The role will require close interaction with the Investment Execution & Control business area and other teams within Core Development & Deployment. The successful candidate will need to understand and validate requirements, develop specifications and configure vendor applications. The role will require a deep understanding of the companies core platforms of Charles River as well of the variations in usage across teams and regions. The business analyst will need to liaise with global teams on cross region/large scale change and systems strategy and will need to work with vendors to address gaps and enhance platforms.

A key aspect of the role will be to ensure that any changes are implemented in a manner consistent with a defined framework that aims to ensure quality and effectiveness.

The role will be responsible for chairing as well as producing documentation for meetings with other business areas and will be required to represent the team on project and BAU committees.

Key Skills

  • Liaise with business to ensure business needs are interpreted and transformed into clear, detailed design requirements
  • Design technical architecture solutions that may span multiple platforms
  • Configuration of a suite of applications to satisfy the business requirement through workflow, application design or data analysis
  • Form a deep understanding of the business and provide a business perspective to project teams including documentation on systems and business processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding of the Equity/Fixed Income, business
  • Experience of front to back portfolio management systems
  • Development lifecycle experience including implementation planning, testing, training
  • IMC or similar investment management qualification preferred
  • Configuration and support of portfolio management - ideally Charles River
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities and Multi-Asset products preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Investment Execution
  • Detailed knowledge of FIX
  • MS SQL Server database interrogation skills
