Employee Communications Manager- Contract- London

HSBC urgently requires an accomplished Communications professional to join our Global Markets function as part of a wider business Digital Transformation Programme on an initial 12 month contract from our London Canary Wharf office. As an accomplished Employee Communications Manager you will demonstrate a proven track record in the planning and implementation of internal communications to support transformation and Digital innovation across GBM.

As a talented and highly skilled Employee Communications Manager you will demonstrate previous experience in the implementation of a range of communication activities including internal news campaigns, creation of compelling creative content and messaging to engage employees specifically surrounding Digital Innovation (Agile working, Big Data, Machine learning, AI etc.) across a variety of channels including Social Media.

Duties:

  • Plan and implement communications activities that support GBM's Transformation agenda
  • Manage internal news and campaigns, including ensuring important milestones and information are communicated to relevant employees, including GBM COO Organisation, GBM and Group.
  • Create compelling and creative content and messages using story-telling to engage employees about business progress and priorities, aligned to our transformation agenda.
  • Source and provide relevant stories to feed local, regional and global channels and identify content to be shared more broadly across Global Banking and Markets, Group and external and social media.
  • Consider the external implications of implementing employee communications campaigns and projects and collaborate with media relations and social media colleagues on external messages to mitigate risks and maximise impact
  • Experience in creating communications to support digital agendas that connect with a global audience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies
  • Strong knowledge of communication trends and best practice with broad knowledge of digital trends

Banking and Financial Services experience is not essential but candidates with previous experience in employee communications in this sector would be advantageous.

Previous experience working on creating internal employee communications for a Digital innovation and Transformation Programme is essential for this assignment as is previous experience in creating digital content focussed upon digital innovation (Blockchain, AI, and Machine Learning) and digital systems would be extremely beneficial.
