An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client, are currently seeking an FMCG Account Manager based at Leatherhead on a 6 month contract, working a 36.25 hour week.

Job Title - FMCG Account Manager

Location - Leatherhead

Rate - £260 per day

Duration - 6 months

We are recruiting for an experienced FMCG Account Manager to manage one of the big 4 supermarket accounts, for our global client to oversee the Baking, Cooking and Spreads division, which is due to be sold to the new owner, KKR, mid-2018.

KKR are committed to supporting the business' growth ambition, whilst continuing to follow our clients responsible sourcing policies, including working towards the goal of sourcing 100 per cent sustainable palm oil by 2019.

Reporting into the Retail Controller the successful applicant will develop and execute, with our customer, a customer strategy and customer business plan.

He/she will be responsible for the achievement of turn over and the P&L of his/her customers as well as for the implementation and the optimisation of the category strategies within the customer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer Strategy and Business Plan
  • Develops the customer strategic business plan
  • Work out a joint customer business plan
  • Works in close collaboration with the Category and Insight team for the category input, and with customer marketing for the channel plan
  • Develops optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan at the customer) and manage promo investments
  • Manages customer promo investment at his/her customer
  • Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement
  • Closes the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the strategy
  • Manages overall levels of Customer Investments
  • Monitors Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share
  • Plays active ambassador role
  • Participates actively to the account managers meetings, looking at the best solution for the business even if not in line for his/her customer

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Account Management experience from An FMCG environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills, the ability to influence and have impact, creatively craft and build brands and businesses
  • Sharp Financial acumen to own a P&L, deliver monthly and annual business targets as well as judgement
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set
