Description

My client an Energy Trading Company based in Sunbury requires a Senior Test Manager with Workday and Shared Services implementation experience supported by solid knowledge of project management methodology and principles.

Experience & Knowledge

  • 10 years minimum IT industry experience (essential)
  • Experience of implementing Workday across multiple global organisations with a good knowledge of the Workday suite of products - other HRIS experience will be considered (essential)
  • Deployment experience with deploying shared services environments (essential)
  • Experience with project management tools (eg MS Project) and methodologies (eg Agile, PRINCE2 etc.) (essential)
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques (essential)
  • Knowledge of testing automation tools and techniques (essential)
  • Use of advanced testing tools and techniques (essential)
  • Must have experience of End to End and UCT processes as well as experience of developing test requirements (essential)
  • Understand, interpret and articulate business requirements into structured test plans to ensure quality and accuracy of the released requirement (essential)
  • Able to effectively deal with changing priorities or obstacles and to provide alternative options or solutions (essential)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to understand the audience and tailor the level of interaction accordingly (essential)
  • Strong English writing skills (essential)
  • Experience of dealing with multiple countries and cultures (essential)
  • Experience of HR systems (essential)

Responsibilities

  • Own the test strategy and plan for the overall WSP solution, across all the solution and service components including the integration, infrastructure, reporting, for both functional and non-functional tests; ensure all concerns regarding the successful deployment of the technology solution are address prior to Go Live in April 2019
  • Make use of appropriate testing tools and services
  • Manage the preparation and update of the test plan
  • Manage the creation and review of test scenarios to ensure they cover all functional and non-functional business required test scenarios
  • Lead the testing of the WSP technology and service solution
  • Define and manage test automation reporting and visualisation dashboards that clearly show the up to date status
  • Monitor and escalate defect and test execution status
  • Escalate issues or risks to the Programme Management team
  • Represent the Test workstream at Programme meetings
  • Co-ordinate entry and exit gates across test phases and Go Live support defect re-testing across workstreams
  • Define performance test scenarios and monitor performance test status
  • Work closely with internal company networks across the business eg the cloud service line, the performance testing team and the Digital Security testing teams to achieve synergies where possible

Deliverables

To execute the test plan and contribute to the successful execution of the global Workday Services Programme implementation. Deliverables include the following (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Test plan; prepare and maintain the test plan
  • Automation dashboard; build a test automation dashboard that shows the overall status of the testing solution across the different areas ie integrations, infrastructure, reporting etc.
  • Test template/framework ; ideally all testing will be done to a consistent template including our Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and key additional links
  • Test reports; build in test automation dashboards but this may include the creation of custom reports, either automated or manual to communicate to key programme stakeholders
  • Manage Unit and SIT processes; manage defect resolution identified in these parts of the Testing phase
  • Manage End to End and User Confirmation Test (UCT) processes; manage defect resolution identified in these parts of the Testing phase
