Project Manager - Insurance - Edinburgh - £356/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Project Manager to join an Insurance Change programme initially for a 6 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

Part of our core strategy to become more efficient, while also improving our customer propositions. Current Legacy systems are not providing us with the flexibility we need, this project will provide a service platform with digital capabilities so, over time, our customers with long-standing products can manage their policies with us in a simpler and more efficient way and we can respond better to their changing needs.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The Lead Project Managers will be assigned to the Customer Services Operational team within the Programme. They will define the scope of change required across their impacted areas. Following scope definition they will define requirements and solutions working with stakeholders at all levels from across their Division and in particular the business lead representing Operations on the Programme. The Project Manager will also be responsible for the build, test and implementation of the solutions, including the definition and achievement of acceptance criteria and business readiness activities. The seamless transition of new and updated processes at the point of moving to the new supplier IT Platform will be a key success factor of the Programme.

Essential Skills and Experience

A proven track record of delivering large, complex business change projects is essential. Very strong stakeholder management skills will be required to manage relationships across Insurance and Group Functions up to senior management level. Experience of successfully leading and managing a project team through the end to end change life cycle from requirements gathering through to implementation and including the definition and achievement of business acceptance criteria.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience of delivering programmes working within a Customer Service Operations including the definition and delivery of Customer Journey's would be useful as well as working with a 3rd Party supplier.
