Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the Management Accountant team in Wilmslow.

The main purpose is to deliver the internal reporting within pension and protection. There is plenty of MI work, reporting, stakeholder engagement so communication is key and lots of analysis to challenge processes and outputs so by no means is a role just producing the numbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality, accuracy and timeliness of management accounting,
  • Insight in cost and variance reporting whilst challenging processes and outputs and values being added,
  • Improving processes under your control,
  • Comply with FP&A reporting timetables,
  • Take ownership for cost templates and assist with revenue streams,
  • Identify potential cost savings and efficiency's,
  • Challenge actual results, forecasts and encourage cost centre management,
  • Identify efficiency's within the divisional P&L,
  • Maintain month end management accounting processes for the divisions,
  • Identify improvements to current process using new systems,
  • Regular risk reports,
  • Make sure control frameworks are regularly tested,
  • Ad-hoc work as required.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hyperion or Fusion system experience is desirable,
  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or studying towards,
  • Financial Services or Insurance experience essential,
  • Strong stakeholder engagement,
  • Good Excel skills,
  • Desire for continuous improvement and professional development,
  • Month-end accounting and reporting skills,
  • Attention to detail and critically reviewing own and others work,
  • Willing to learn about new products.
