Description
Senior GL Accountant with profound IFRS and GAAP knowledge wanted for our Fribourg based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- Certification in Finance and Accounting or equivalent degree
- 5+ years' background in Financial reporting and accounting department
- Practical knowledge and experience in IFRS and local statutory GAAP
- Know-how of local tax (Income/VAT) and SAP/ JDE
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Conducting the preparation of monthly financial closing according to IFRS and local legal requirements
- Maintaining adequate accounting records and acting as point of contact in Finance for the ERP systems SAP/JDE ensuring correct system accesses
- Leading relevant tax, compliance and audit reporting processes and relationships for the entity as well as the implementation of new accounting standards and new requirements according to the Accounting Manual of the company
- Ensuring compliance with SOX 404 through maintenance of FRA controls, reconciliations and management of documentation (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Managing finance related process changes and achieving best practice by proactively identifying gaps to standards and initiating change projects with IT and Finance management
- Being the Point of reference in the area of FRA for initiatives and projects led by other departments or sites
