Description

My client an Energy Trading Company based In Sunbury requires a Workday Payroll Test Analyst who will be responsible for testing the Workday Payroll configuration and integrations (inbound and outbound) to validate the data and make sure the system interfaces and wider end to end processes meet business requirements. The person will be coordinating with the programme team, payroll vendors and business users in some cases.

Essential Education

BA/BS in associated field (Degree Level Education) or equivalent experience

Experience and job requirements

  • Experience of testing as part of a Global, complex Workday implementation into ADP GlobalView and Streamline environments (and ideally BDO)
  • Experience of writing and executing Workday payroll test scenarios
  • Experience of entering data based on scenarios in the Workday test environment
  • Experience of understating the payroll integration output based on the test scenarios
  • Experience of handling test activities in a multi-country environment
  • Experience of testing multiple integrations
  • Knowledge of Workday Business Process and Integrations
  • Knowledge of SAP environments
  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance systems/functionality would be useful (Kronos in particular)

Desirable criteria & qualifications

  • A detailed understanding payroll testing and result analysis phases
  • Experience with Workday, SAP and ADP
  • Experience in working in an HR/Payroll operational environment
  • Experience in working with HR, Time and payroll data, including analysis and report creation
  • Strong analytical and data presentation skills
  • Advanced/Intermediate excel capabilities

Key accountabilities

Test Preparation

  • Preparing test material for each payroll testing phase
  • Create and document test scenarios, conditions and expected results based on approved business processes and review with process owners and functional leads
  • Create and document test scenarios, conditions and expected results based on approved functional and technical specifications for integrations and review with 3rd parties and platform owners
  • Define data conditions for each test scenario and condition
  • Select and create test data as per agreed test scope.
  • Participate in test phase kick off meetings with the Test manager

Test Execution

  • Execution of test types for multiple test phases
  • Log results of test execution in test tracking tool
  • Log failed executions in defect management tool
  • Send test report to test manager when required
  • Act as a test team contact to business testers for certain integrations
  • Coordinate test phases
  • Participate in daily defect triage meetings during test execution and minute results and actions where appropriate
  • Participate in test entry and exit milestone review meetings
