For our life science client we are currently looking for a

Order Manager

Location: Basel
Main tasks:
  • Single point of contact for all order related topics between suppliers and customers accross different entities.
  • Responsible for smooth transactional execution, correct system set ups, demand review, first escalation and active team member in supply chain projects.
  • Responsible for timely intra-group order management across ERP systems, processing according to defined business cases based on planning & master data parameters including the up-to-date status of the order at any point in time
  • Prepare and ensure availability of all relevant documentations and approvals needed to guarantee steadily product flow
  • Provide guidance to assigned customers for returns, write-off's and credit/debit notes according to the established SOPs and guidelines
  • Guide and support 3rd party service provider PLS
  • Perform order confirmation and inbound system booking for manually placed orders according to SOP
  • Ensure correct system set up and linkage to partner system and timely forecast transmission from customer to supplier based on agreed MOQ and order frequency
  • Support regular updates on Supply Parameters (e.g. MOQ, LT) with affiliate and supplier in SAP system
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements (including record management) and continuous improvement of quality relevant processes within area of responsibility
  • Prepare and conduct regular supply review meetings with customers and suppliers and pro-actively identify demand, capacity and supply issues
  • Participate and support in S&OP meetings
  • Close follow up with supplier and maintenance of vendor related input in corresponding global tracking tools
  • Drive and maintain close relation and involve other functions to ensure regulatory and quality compliant product supply
  • Ensure Intra-group owned sharepoint is updated on time for assigned subjects


Ideal candidate shall bring:
  • Higher education (Bachelor degree) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, at least vocational education in commercial professions complemented by additional training in business administration resp. supply chain management
  • English and German - both fluent
  • 3+ years of experience in experience in Supply Chain role in Health Care, Consumer Goods, Chemical or another process industry
  • understanding of Supply Chain processes incl. customer service and vendor management
  • 3+ years of experience in SAP usage (advanced user knowledge)
  • understanding of ERP implementation methodology
  • MS office (Excel, Power Point, WinWord) and Visio knowledge
  • Proven project management ideally in a cross-functional project
