IT Global Procurement Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our leading client in Cambridge. The role holder will contribute to the delivery of the global category strategy, contributing to managing the sourcing cycle.
Bringing in breakthrough ideas and best-in-class approaches. Co-developing, supporting and implementing all procurement strategic projects that are held globally.
Translating global led category strategies to sourcing and actions plan. Defining the team required to successfully deliver the project plan. Undertake category management activities as required. Drive plans to successful execution.
Driving and delivering cost and services projects for the business, managing multiple stakeholders in different sectors/regions/geographies and will be leading some diverse negotiations teams.
The role is part of the Global Procurement organisation and reports directly to the Global Procurement Category Lead - IT.
- Develop & implement strategic sourcing strategies and processes
- Track performance within each spend category and define the budgetary impact
- Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance
- Drive best practices
- Champion and secure TCO reductions for the category across sectors and regions
- Oversee development/execution of strategies of site buyers.
- Support sector execution issue resolution.
- Lead the process to select and manage suppliers
- Measure and track internal performance within sector and site
- Drive annual productivity improvements
- Develop an expertise in the global procurement spend categories
- Provide assistance with acquisition strategies by completing due diligence and integration activities for spend
