Description

On behalf of our client, an international financial institute, we are looking for external support with skills and abilities as stated below.

Job role: Pricing Analyst (f/m) Luxembourg
Field of Activity
The European central trade repository collects and administers details of derivative transactions reported by its clients to provide market regulators and participants

with a reporting hub for all manner of transaction reporting resulting from current and future regulatory initiatives such as EMIR, FinfraG, SFTR etc.

Division/Section
Investment Fund Services IT, Analysis, Architecture & Project Management

Task/Responsibilities

  • Support the pricing and billing team to work on advanced analytics for a new price model for existing and new regulatory reporting products (EMIR and SFTR)
  • Develop a system to simulate different price scenarios, run customer simulations
  • Prepare adequate internal and external reporting tools to assess the financial impact of price scenarios
  • Assemble data from multiple sources, analyze (incl. simulations and statistical analyses), draw conclusions
  • Contribute with strong analytical input and recommendations to establish the optimal price setting

Qualifications/required skills
Candidates will be considered from a variety of backgrounds, including different degrees of experience with or equivalent to, respectively, a compliance function of a financial institution and/or the business functions.

Desired qualifications may include the following:

  • University degree (Bachelor in Business or any related field (Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, etc);
  • Exceptional analytical skills, preferably incl. simulation and statistical techniques;
  • Experience to prioritize and deliver in dynamic working environment (ability to work on multiple projects, under time pressure);
  • Be pragmatic, well organized and structured;
  • Be comfortable working with large data sets;
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, Advanced Excel Macros or VBA;
  • High accuracy and attention to detail;
  • High degree of professionalism. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Effectiveness working cross-functionally;
  • Hands-on mentality; Solution oriented;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in French, Spanish or German, would be considered an advantage.

Assignment:

Fulltime (100%)
Duration: 6 months - initial contract 1 month to be extended on a quarterly basis (optional extension)
Start: 1st of July 2018
Location: Luxembourg (travel expected)
