Description
Our client is a Public Private Partnership organisation that operates globally to represent the interests of the manufacturing, agriculture and material handling industries. Members and supporters include pan-regional organisations including NGOs, IGOs and many prominent service industry businesses.
The aim of the organisation is to drive global trade efficiency through reduced landed import-export costs and significant operational cost savings.
This is being achieved through the development of a global digital platform with four key drivers: E-commerce, e-finance, e-insurance and e-logistics representing the four pillars of global trade. The platform will be open to all at no cost, and provided through a network of finance and technology companies.
There is a requirement for a Consultant to review progress made to date in the e-finance area, and make recommendations for further enhancements and improvements as the digital platform is developed.
The successful candidate will be a senior level individual a background in finance, in particular e-finance and payments in the B2B and B2C marketplace gained in a blue chip environment, and a strong understanding of both business issues and the latest digital developments. An ability to see the big picture whilst retaining an eye for detail; a consultative approach; and strong analysis and presentation skills are all important.
The assignment will be based in Beirut (travel and subsistence provided) with a duration expected to be of no more than four weeks.
