Modis are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a client based near Worcester, initially on a six month contract, but the company has a lengthy order book and is very good at retaining contract staff for various projects. Likely to last 12-18 months.
Role: Manufacturing Process Engineer
Rate: circa £35 per hour initially
Location: near Worcester
Duration: 6 months rolling
Clearance: Must be SC Cleared
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing engineering - methodologies, planning, cell development and quantitative analysis.
- Lean manufacturing - waste reduction, process analysis and optimisation.
- Kanban systems, products and components
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should have experience in the following:
- Production/process engineering
- Equipment and tooling design
- Manufacturing process control
- Lean manufacturing techniques
- Green/Black belt accreditation
