Civil Site Construction Manager

Quanta are looking for a Civil Site Construction Manager to be based in the Ukraine for a major renewable energy project with one of our clients who specialise in the development, construction and operation of onshore renewable energy projects.

This is the chance to secure a contract for multiple years on a project with a number of planned phases starting in 2018. Based in the South of Ukraine our client are providing a generous package covering both remuneration (day rate and milestone bonuses) and also accommodation, vehicle and return flight tickets throughout the contract.

You will be working on an initial 18 month contract with a possible 12-18 month extension responsible on behalf of the client to oversee the delivery of the Civils related construction and in turn the monitoring of the subcontractors delivering these works. Civils works include over 50KM of access roads, trench works, civil works for a substation and also foundation works.

Russian language skills are preferred but not essential. 

• Coordinate the construction of all civils related activity including access roads, trenches, substation civils, all other foundations required
• Management of all sub-contractors conducting Civils related activity ensuring works are delivered on budget and to agreed time schedule and within agreed parameters
• Responsibility for the financial performance for Civils package on the project
• Take responsibility for the quality of documents submitted for review and authorization
• Constant communication with all contractors and stakeholders to always have a complete overview of the status of the project and to inform every one of its evolution.
• Regular updating of construction schedule and construction invoice validation for the package
• Validation and management of the construction documentation, including material supply and construction quality plans, and verification that everything is in accordance with the execution design.

Candidates will ideally possess experience in Civils construction management for renewable energy projects but at a minimum should possess experience managing Civils construction on projects with a minimum budget of €20 million.
