Description

My Client is a large EPC contractor based in The Netherlands looking for a Dutch speaking Senior Civil Designer. The consultant will be in charge of a team of civil and structural designers and engineers. Projects consists of onshore Multidisciplinary projects in the petrochemical revamp field. Close contact with other disciplines as Piping, Mechanical, E&I and Process.

Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Role: Senior Civil Designer
Start: ASAP

Duties
Preparing drawing (mainly concrete, steel, roads and infrastructures)
Co-ordination of the design to ensure good interface with all other disciplines.
Supervising and coaching the Civil and Structural project team(s),
Prepare engineering drawings using CAD
Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation against project standards and specifications
Attend meetings (internal and with clients),
Attend site visits

Experience:
10 + years' experience in Civil Designer
Bachelor's degree in Civil design (Or similar)
Experience within Oil & Gas - Petro-chemical industry
Must have experience with, AutoCAD and Tekla.
Sound understanding of international design codes
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and previous experience with presentations
To clients and colleagues
Must be fluent Dutch speaker (command of English both written and spoken)
Experience in concrete and steel
Extensive design and analysis experience of onshore structures
