Senior Finance Analyst - Brentford - £400 - £410 Per Day - 4 Months

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities of the Financial Analyst are:

Accountability:

The Financial analyst has a wide ranging responsibilities including;

? Perform and review monthly actual for Rx External Supply International Regions and Area.

? Prepare, submit and circulate all relevant Management Reports, KPIs and other key deliverables required to meet the corporate deadlines. Requires clear and timely communications to clients/
stakeholders.

? Develop and deliver uniform reporting package for diverse group by partnering with many International Markets, GMS Sites and above site and divisional teams.

? Work closely with business clients to assist in financial analysis to ensure achievement of strategies

? Provide analytical support on projects directly related to senior Management decision process to ensure expert financial support involving complex decisions is delivered

? Establish and contribute to policy development and improvements.

? Provide technical guidance to client/stakeholders regarding local issues or questions.

? Ensure appropriate Cost Centre hygiene in both ES & Area.

Complexity:

degree of change & uncertainty; level of influencing required; degree of Matrix working

? Supports client group which includes Rx External Supply International Region and Area above site teams.

? Leads continuous improvement efforts within External Supply and Area finance teams, located in multiple geographic locations

? Works independently to complete many complex parallel tasks with minimal direction within scope of position.

? Identify opportunities, risks, issues and their impact on local financials, processes and stakeholders.

? Understand impact of policy and system changes on clients and proactively take steps to educate and minimize disruption.

? Project leadership and participation among cross - functional/cross - business and Matrix of management relationships to complete assigned deliverables.

Specialised Knowledge:

? Strong knowledge/work experience with the following at a corporate level: budgeting, accounting,auditing,business analysis, financial modelling and management reporting

? Knowledge of GSK financial systems including BISON, JDE, CERPs, ICT, Cognos and Workday.

? Knowledge and experience of the GSK financial compliance and reporting requirements.

? Working knowledge of cost accounting and product standard setting.

? Excellent problem solving and root causing abilities.

? Continuing education of new accounting standards and their relevance to statutory and management accounting - Eg. Lease Accounting etc.

? Ability to work across GSK organisations

? Able to recognise and implement improvements to complex business processes

? Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to review complex issues and understand the impact on business straegies, policies and relationships

? Expert knowledge of general ledger accounting platforms.

? Ability to present complex detailed financial information to financial staff at all levels from site to regional, gobally.

? Ability to analyse the impact of changes in business and advise management of the consequential impact to regional and in country business areas and strategies.

? Strong influencing skills and ability to recognize cultural diversity

? Strong analytical and problem solving skills

? Strong process and system skills with demonstrated results in process simplification

Preferred Requirements:

? Professional Qualification (CPA, MBA. CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent qualification or experience

? Knowledge of GSK Product Portfolio, IT systems & Supply network

Additional information about the process

Two interview process which may be two face to face stages.
