Finance Lead- ACCA or CIPFA Qualification- Financial Processes- Government/Public Sector- London 6 months- per day (Out of scope)SmartSourcing are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Finance Lead required to offer financial support to our prestigious Public Sector client based in London. The Finance Lead will also develop financial policy, processes and framework, and functional standards, including third party relationships and systems requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working in a similar financial role, within the Public sector, during periods of transformational change such as the start-up phase of major programmes.
Requires someone with experience of developing processes for complex and interconnected programmes with many soft elements, with critical interfacing requirements, but still keeping the overall scheme as simple as practical.
With developing end-to-end financial policies for the funding and financial monitoring of the programme the successful candidate will also be responsible for the following-
Creating high level governance structures, processes and interactions across different bodies
Develop the systems for the management of cash, the management of contingency at different levels.
Produce tools for ensuring financial propriety
Support the development of appropriate financial reporting and assurance.
Specifying digital financial systems, evaluating financial service options and negotiating agreed solutions.
This role will involve developing and enhancing key stakeholder and third party relationships.
Applicants should ideally hold a recognised accountancy qualification, eg ACCA, CIPFA, and relevant financial management experience.
