Key Responsibilities for the Position

The GM OPC & TAC Coordinator:

  • Coordinates & ensures adherence to approval policies under FO responsibility as Single Point of Contact (eg new activity, exceptional transaction, index contribution, proprietary index, automated trading),
  • Performs preliminary operational risk assessment incurred by new activities, in conjunction with OPC
  • Supervises specific FO processes governance (eg custom index, SPV), and Manages ad-hoc Business reviews and post implementation follow-up

This position is more focus on the validation process.

The main responsibilities are as follows.

  • Assists the Business in identifying the need for a validation committee
  • Has a strong advisory role to all stakeholders (eg Chairperson, FO, Support Functions), eg:
    • Ensuring applicable procedures are complied with,
    • Checking and performing a quality review of the memorandums before circulation,
    • Challenging Functions' comments/conditions (if necessary),
    • Highlighting main issues/risks to the Chairperson.
  • Supports all stakeholders all along the validation process, eg:
    • Ensuring all relevant parties are involved,
    • Scheduling and organizing committees,
    • Writing minutes of the committees,
    • Circulating minutes to the relevant parties,
    • Monitoring/reporting of conditions' completion and execution status,
    • Keeping records of all documentation in SharePoint (eg memorandum, minutes, conditions follow-up, trade status).
  • Provides various stakeholders with detailed reporting on the validation process (eg weekly/monthly reports, KPI/KRI)
  • Contributes to strengthen the GM validation process by regular training, reporting and controls
  • Contributes to improve tools, methods, processes within GM OPC & TAC Coordination team
  • Shares best practices and information with other platforms
  • Develops credibility and visibility of the team with internal clients and partners

Competencies & Experience

  • Extensive experience of Capital Markets/Global Markets processes and products or specific asset classes
  • Experience of FO Controls
  • Knowledge of Regulations impacting Global Markets
  • Awareness on fundamental risk concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential
