The Pharmaceutical capital of Europe has a new face setting up a new base here in Dublin and they need people! They have a number of projects happening on site at the moment and it is an exciting time for an expanding business.A Project Engineer is required to join a company who is has taken over their first facility in Europe. An initial 12-month contract based in Dublin, this is a chance to work closely with a global company as they shape the future of their business in Europe.
Role description: This is a junior to mid-level project engineer role and will be focused on some of the following:
- Small to medium projects including utilities/GMP projects.
- Expansion project on site installing new reactors, centrifuges and dryers.
- New equipment projects.
- Project size - $300 - $1 million.
- Responsible for managing the Scope, cost and schedule of the assigned Projects. They will also manage the delivery of the key documentation required for a best-practice managed process, including (but not limited to) a detailed Project Execution Plan and cost estimate.
- This role will manage the full range of activities associated with the project life cycle from Cradle to grave: URS; Concept; Basis of Design; Detailed Design; Construction; Commissioning and Qualification.
- Two to five years' experience within a pharmaceutical site engineering department.
- Solid background in planning engineering projects with a demonstrated record of on-time performance.
- Experience in managing the financial performance of engineering projects, including cash flow, life cycle costs, business opportunities, and risks. Experience using SAP and budgeting tools.
- Good understanding of the project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation, project closeout.
- Assure that value engineering, constructability reviews, and similar processes are effectively utilised to minimise capital expenditures and maximise functional value.
- Strict adherence to project principles for managing the life cycle of projects.
- Assure compliance with good engineering practices, Company policies, regulations and codes.
- Understands the project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation, project closeout.
