Management Accountant - Opex - Record to Report

My client is a leading energy and utilities client based in Warwick, and Pontoon Solutions are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Management Accountant to work within the Opex Record to Report (R2R) team.
The Opex R2R team have undergone a number of changes over the last few months and this role will play a part in the continuation of that change and the stabilisation of the department
Responsibilities
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely financial results
- Process transactions through SAP including journals and recharges
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding financial expectations and resolving queries
- Adhoc reporting as required
- Initiative and deliver process improvements during a period of transition
- Act as a Team Leader for 1-3 people ensuring deadlines are met, approving transactions and acting as a point of escalation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Must be qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting ability
- Monthly process experience
- Experience of working with SAP
- Experience of working in a large corporate environment or a Financial Shared Services Centre is highly desirable
- Previous experience of leading and mentoring junior colleagues
