Supply Chain Project Manager (Brexit) (m/f)

Main tasks:
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables for proposed projects
  • Plan and define project steps, project risks and issues, establish plans, allocate resources, reviews milestone and priorities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary project team, and keep them teams committed, motivated, and productive through the duration of the project
  • Assess project options in a methodical way and make considered decisions taking into account associated opportunities and risks
  • Generate creative solutions to overcome project obstacles and mitigate risk
  • Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s) within time, cost and quality constraints
  • Identify, develop, implement and monitor day-to-day support for project activities including compliance, risk and issue management, project interdependencies, financial management and reporting, document control
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide progress reporting to the Senior Responsible Owner, Project Board and other senior stakeholders
  • Model best practice project management approaches to colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Undertake project evaluations and assessment of results


Main qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of applying a project management approach to the requirements of the project, ideally in a supply chain environment
  • Ability to develop and manage a project plan and detailed stage gate plans
  • Ability to plan and implement the deployment of physical and financial resources to meet project milestones
  • Ability to build and sustain effective communications with stakeholders, peers, other programmes, and customers
  • Understanding of governance and quality management principles and processes
  • Good communication skills with ability to influence others, excellent team working skills
  • Ability to understand and apply business case and risk management processes
  • Creative and proactive problem solving skills
  • Experience of working in a multiple stakeholder environment
  • Able to establish good working relationships with the Programme Manager, peers, suppliers and stakeholders
