Description
A Senior Test Delivery Lead with experience of payments (Card, issuing, Acquiring) and Dara Migrations is sought to work with a fintech client and their Head of Testing as part of their new Testing Centre of Excellence; you will be responsible for leading and delivering test activity for the TCoE. This includes implementation of major & minor releases, continuous improvements, working with Development, Product and Operations along with managing the delivery of test strategies and teams.
The role is accountable for managing the Testing Solution to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include stakeholder management, risk management and delivery on the TCoE goals and objectives
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing the Programme Test Strategy ensuring it is updated and base lined to reflect changes to the project risk profile, schedule, testing processes etc.
- Define test approach and estimate to ensure its optimum, meets project goals without compromising quality and time to market
- Implement innovative and creative methods for testing
- Track project financials, progress and take corrective actions proactively
- Test Program RAIDS are identified, maintained regularly and mitigated
- Coordinating the testing resources allocation and utilisation and activities for the Programme projects that are defined in the Test Strategy.
- Responsible for extending the governance support for all the other testing phases of the projects like CIT/System testing/UAT/OAT
- Maintain effective engagement with the Technology and Build teams to carry out the test management activities
- Reviews the Test Environment Specification and Coordinates with the Test Environment Manager
- Manage defect process for the programme ensuring the process is followed and correct priorities/severities are assigned.
- Constantly review the test progress and reports to the Head of Testing.
- Responsible for the quality of all testing phases
- Responsible for signing off all test results and all test phases
- Ensure overall process adherence on organization wide guidelines for delivery, operations and quality.
- Responsible for resource management activities within the programme/projects and ensure effective utilization
- Responsible for team's skill development and performance management
Essential Skills
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems development methods, techniques and processes for Web Services, Mid-range Mainframe platforms, Card personalization and Transaction processing systems,
- Experience of testing Data Migration Programmes of work
- Developed IT architecture development skills,
- Extensive experience in test estimation, planning, management and test reporting
- Working knowledge in relevant systems analysis, development and project management methods,
- Extensive knowledge of card business technology and process,
- General knowledge and usage of IT resources.
- Strong track record of Test Delivery experience across major programmes working within a TCoE operating model, leading large scale teams
- Test 'consultancy' experience: To provide thought leadership on testing, able to talk with authority, to explain testing concepts in a way that non-testers can understand
- Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong people management and communication skills - will be working with a number of Platform Leads, 3rd Party suppliers and the Programme Manager
- University degree in information technology or adequate professional education and business experience,
