Senior Assistant (Belfast)

Research Division within a Major Investment Bank

3 Month initial contract

£15 per hour (including holiday pay)

Job Purpose:

Overall responsibility is to provide administrative support to the Research business. The role presents the opportunity to work within a major investment bank in a leading research house that is developing distinct and thematic research product offerings.

The role will be based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and manage extensive and detailed travel arrangements (flights, trains, hotels, cars).
  • Timely processing of analysts' expenses.
  • Assist with the maintenance of CRM client distribution lists and uploading client contact information.
  • Adding ad-hoc meetings to Velocity.
  • Co-ordinate client conference calls.
  • Assist with sourcing market and company information via the Internet.
  • Assist with basic data maintenance using Excel and Word.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of marketing presentations using PowerPoint.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Candidates will ideally have 2 years' administrative experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Work under limited supervision.
  • Duties highly confidential in nature requiring a great use of discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills - must be a confident and effective communicator at all levels.
  • Accuracy and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient.
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritise tasks continually.
  • Methodical approach and strong organizational capabilities.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A strong command of the English language (oral and written) is essential.
