Business Analyst
One of my clients is a leading software- and service provider for the insurance market. They are currently looking for a Business Analyst based in Woerden, Netherlands.
The IT Business Analyst, you will join a talented and experienced team. You will participate in the detailed development of the business content and business modelling of our insurance platform that enables insurance institutions with acquiring, quoting, claiming, and other functions for their systems and allow brokers or insurers to offer the best of breed insurance solutions to their customers.
Responsibilities
- Be a subject-matter expert in the field of Insurance P&C and translate the market demands and customer needs into pragmatic requirements
- Assist the R&D team in the functional implementation by providing clear and unambiguous specifications to enable them to produce quality software that meets defined product requirements.
- Create/maintain Business Process Definition documents representing orchestration of business activities expressed in terms of reusable components
- Identify/create/maintain catalogues of reusable business activities
- Create/maintain business requirements for external interfaces to customer Legacy systems and external service providers
Experince
- Experience in Insurance (pre) as a Business Process Analyst - minimum 3 years.
- Strong affinity and experience in functional analysis and design in the domains of business process modelling and Datamodelling.
- Knowledge of best practices for user experience and user interaction is a plus.
- Experience with transaction-based/end-to-end systems development primarily focused on the financial services industry.
- Excellent UML knowledge. In particular, you are familiar with use cases, activity diagrams, class diagrams, data dictionaries, communication or sequence diagrams. Working knowledge of BPMN is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of software development processes and QA methodologies.
- Knowledge of ACORD XML is a plus.
- Experience with protocols and languages like SOAP, WSDL, and XML.
- A Bachelor or Master's degree with a strong affinity towards software development.
- An understanding of how ERP, BPM, CRM and BI tools operate.
- Good knowledge of software development processes and QA methodologies
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage time and tasks
- Passionate about supporting the development of IT systems and applications
- Technically savvy with an appreciation for IT capability
- Adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
- experience making presentations to clients, managers, executives and/or technical staff.
