Description

A Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of a Senior Programme Support Officer.

Contract Period: August 2018 to August 2019

The resource will contribute to strategic planning for programmes, changes in workplace practices and business improvement initiatives, and deliver programmes in accordance with business requirements and work area priorities. They will also play a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and may provide operational leadership to a team.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • Demonstrated 4+ years' experience in IT Programme management in Government or industry equivalent.
  • Proven performance as a senior project officer in the implementation and consistent delivery of high quality complex IT programmes and multiple projects of work.
  • Provide a strategic business focus on Project and Program Assurance for the program office by leading the development, formulation and implementation of the Project Assurance Framework, guidelines and procedures.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate programme plans and schedules in accordance with the department's programme management framework and consider programme interdependencies.
  • Experience of working with legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements,
  • Engage negotiate and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver programmes and respond to changes in needs and expectation.

The client requires the applicants to hold Australian Citizenship and Baseline clearance for this role.
