Scrum Master

We require a Scrum Master/JavaScript Developer to support two major projects involving video/TV streaming apps for a top company based in Europe. You will act as a facilitator for multiple teams across various European countries (around 200 employees in total). Previous experience in a similar environment - ie. handling large projects with multiple international teams is desired. You will be responsible for managing multiple Scrum teams to ensure our Developers continue to thrive in the current evolving Agile environment.

Must have Experience/Qualifications

  • Broad experience (2 years) in executing the Scrum Master role for agile software development teams
  • Broad experience in pure JavaScript development (Ecmascript 2015)
  • Experienced in Software Development tools (ie. Atlassian Jira, Confulence Wiki)
  • Experienced in software architecture applied to JavaScript or Node.js platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or other technical studies
  • Experience in Scrum software development in a large business
  • Certified Scrum Master (Certified Scrum Professional is a plus)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as Scrum Master for multiple, distributed Scrum teams.
  • Assist team and product manager with user story development and backlog grooming, including identifying unaccounted work.
  • Facilitate all Scrum activities, including release planning, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and stand-up.
  • Track iteration status and resolve stalled or blocked user stories as needed.
  • Develop measurements to improve team effectiveness, including dashboard reporting.
  • Contribute to product roadmap planning, project scheduling, and release management.
  • Introduce new ideas and processes that improve performance and productivity.
  • Facilitate cross-team coordination by reaching out to the larger organization to remove obstacles.
