Location: Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Up to £ 26.31 per hour
Clearance: BPSS Clearance (must be willing and eligible to undergo, prior to project start date)

My client, a global Defence organisation, is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to assist with supporting the Finance Manager in delivering Financial Assurance activities The successful Financial Accountant will ideally have demonstrable experience within the Defence industry and will ideally have worked within large organisations. The role of Financial Accountant will require strong Audits experience (Internal or External), CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualifications and. Risk Management experience. Candidates applying for the role of Financial Accountant must also have strong have prior working knowledge of Financial Controls, and ideally have experience within Issue resolution
Essential skills;
- Proven background as a Financial Accountant (ideally from a background in the Defence industry)
- Previous experience of Risk Management
- Relevant demonstrable qualification CIMA/ACCA or ACA
- Extensive experience of Audits
- Significant experience with Financial controls
Desirable;
- Previous experience within the Defence industry would be a distinct advantage
