Description
* Create HTML newsletters based on templates, create new email templates and QA email proofs
* Traffic email campaign requests and campaign assets to meet deadlines and notify appropriate persons as necessary
* Work closely with internal departments (Database Services, Editors, Business Intelligence, Creative and IT groups) and external vendor in the creation and implementation of email campaigns.
* Work closely with engineers, marketing counterparts, and email vendor to ensure seamless implementation of new feature developments, program enhancements and initiatives.
* This includes drafting initial requirements, QA, user acceptance testing and launch.
* Develop campaign performance reports and distribute on a regular basis Manage email calendar on a daily basis.
* Implement list segmentation strategies for targeted email campaigns with assistance of BI group
* Strong HTML coding experience -- minimum 2 - 3 years experience
* Strong Microsoft Excel experience
* Very strong knowledge and experience using third party email applications (DoubleClick, CheetahMail, Digital Impact, Epsilon, etc.)
* Experience with testing in the email environment desired.
* Knowledge of aspects of email marketing including delivery, analysis, legislation, authentication/reputation systems, and general industry trends and metrics
* Strong email analytics and quantitative skills
* Excellent time-management skills, organization and project management skills
* Strong copyediting skills
* Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues
