Description

Key responsibilities include -

  • Supporting the Site Quality Manager to develop, implement and maintain the Business Management systems to meet certification requirements, the needs of customers, the business and its stakeholders
  • Supporting business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance
  • Management, implementation and control of customer, internal and supplier product and process audits with the focus on conformance and driving continuous improvement
  • Liaising with customers, internal functions and suppliers to resolve customer issues, promoting customer confidence and satisfaction
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining quality documentation and metrics including process maps, procedures, standards, process and product specifications
  • Developing, managing, implementation and control of quality processes from material receipt, manufacturing through to dispatch of finished product to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction
  • Supporting the New Product Introduction process through quality planning and implementation, liaising with customers, internal functions and suppliers
  • Supporting, developing and implementing supplier quality assurance and control processes
  • Managing the implementation of short and long term strategic functional objectives and KPI's.
  • Ensuring all quality data is captured and analysed against targets taking action on adverse variation to standard
  • Striving towards the Goal of a World Class manufacturing environment.
  • Any other reasonable duties

The successful candidate will have the following -

  • HNC in a quality, manufacturing or engineering discipline
  • The suitable candidate will have a strong quality and/or aerospace background gained within medium to high volume manufacturing
  • The candidate will be familiar with auditing procedures
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of Quality and/or Aerospace Standards ( ISO 9000, AS9100, EASA Part 21, EASA Part 145)
  • Problem Solving Skills with in an engineering environment - preferably 8D
  • Continuous Improvement and 5S Mindset
  • Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information
  • Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate effectively within a Matrix organisation structure
  • IT literate - Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
