Currently seeking a Financial Specialist, to work with my client based at their offices in Aldershot, Hampshire; due to commence August and continue until November 2018, with view for possible further extension.

Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been advised that they may be required to undergo the security clearance process for this role, as so must be willing and eligible to do so.

Objectives:

Assists the Program PMO Services manager in providing financial management support on tools and processes to project towers for both transition and transformation phases of the outsourcing deal.

Assists the Program PMO Services manager in providing support to tower leads, transition and transformation managers for consolidation and reconciliation of project financials

Assists the overall transition/transformation program with financial management support.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and tracks project costs revenue and margin.
  • Approves timesheet data and approving and monitoring expenses.
  • Pre-approves purchases.
  • Determining revenue and expense accrual and deferral based on recognized DXC accounting standards and policies.
  • Prepares monthly financial analysis and reports.
  • Calculates and analyses project cost, revenue and margin variance.
  • Defines corrective actions based on variance data.
  • Notifies the project team regarding invoicing milestones and management of collection activities.
  • Maintains project budgets, financial statements, and balance sheet activity.
  • Updates the cost baseline.
  • Establishes and maintains reporting standards for the program, including remote locations and subcontractors.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and forecast for approval by the transition/transformation manager.
  • Analyses financial performance.
  • Sets up project codes in the time tracking systems in place
  • Provide access to the time tracking systems for all team members
  • Interfaces with the ABM regarding project financial activity.

KPI's

  • Financial project reports produced on time
  • Minimum monthly 1to1 meetings done with each project manager to review project financials

Key Interfaces/Relationships

  • Reports to Program PMO Services manager.
  • Liaises with all project tower leads and project managers.

  • Experience in project financial management.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse, foreign and multi-cultural environments, on a country, regional or global level.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively under short timeframes and significant pressure.
