Job description

Our customer is looking for a Safety Engineer, mainly for the project of a modification of the EBP system in order to communicate with a new type of interlocking. For this project, an IA is assessing the project.
In addition, this Safety Engineer will have to support MMF projects and products (eg level crossing, points machine, metro signaling…) for safety topics.

What you'll do:

The service provider should execute safety activities on the software/hardware development projects
- Properly determine system safety using safety analysis techniques and tools and create/update analysis reports Safety analysis (mainly FMEA)
- Safety designs
- Participation of company activities in adherence to appropriate industry standards such as CENELEC, ISO 9000, EN, IEC, ISO 90003:2004
- Identifying critical internal processes
- Required participation in Safety certification with the IA
- Participating in meetings with supplier (SIE-D) if needed
- Participation in meetings with costumer if needed

Profile

The service provider has to assure that the persons which he allocates are
- Experienced in manufacturing setting with software and hardware control and design
- Have Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can work in team but also independently and autonomously.
- Understanding of the organization†s document control and electronic filing systems
- Maintains confidentiality of daily events
- Communicate in team to request the required information to perform the tasks.
- Accurate in reviewing the input information and execution of the tasks.
- Very meticulous and precise as the developed software/hardware will be used in operational systems which may impact the railway traffic.
- Speak and write fluently English
- As good informatics skills (use of Office tools)

Required Skills

- Safety activities for the EBP projects.
- Safety activities for MMF products and projects

Domain expertise
- Experienced in software/hardware applications which will be used in safety critical applications
- Experienced with application of EN and possibly CSM (Common Safety Method)
- Experienced in ISO 9001 process
