Scrum Master - Banking - Bulk Annuities - 6 months - Bristol - £459/day
A top retail bank based in Bristol is currently seeking a Scrum master to join a Bulk Annuities programme for an initial 6 month period.
Overview of the Programme/Project
The Bulk Annuity business has prioritised a number of projects to enhance, protect and develop both the proposition and operating model to strengthen the bank in the market. One of the projects is a new proposition, and this will require leading, shaping and driving the change, alongside linking into a number of Group stakeholders.
The bank is moving into an Agile delivery model and the role also provides an exciting opportunity to deliver a new proposition that has the potential to materially support the businesses aspirations.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Overseeing the Bulk Annuity On Line Quotation project, the Scrum Master will be responsible for the day to day delivery:
- Working closely with Bulks/Insurance/Group key stakeholders, alongside using key influencing skills to help keep the project on track.
- Using Scrum and Agile techniques (leading a Digital Lab environment, deliver to a MVP, user stories, sprint planning and reviews) to drive delivery to completion.
- Production of the standard Change deliverables
- The ability to work proactively within a indirect supervision environment will also be required and coach other colleagues in Scrum techniques.
Essential Skills and Experience
Previous Scrum Master roles with experience of successful delivery in at least one of the following:
- The Bulk Annuity Market experience
- Financial Services
- Web Site Development
Desirable Skills and Experience
- A strong understanding of the pensions market.
- An experienced Scrum Master who would be able to pick up the delivery activity quickly, especially given the complex nature of the Bulk Annuities and Finance areas
