Employee Communications Manager UK & EMEA

This role requires a blend of both strategic, pragmatic counsel to leadership, along with a flair for creative, tactical delivery to inform, engage and involve colleagues.

The role is based in the UK and plays an important role in providing leadership counsel, maintaining a consistent employee engagement rhythm, delivering key internal projects and events in the UK business, as well as supporting highly engaged internal colleague communities of inclusion.

Reporting

This role reports to the Senior Director of EMEA Communications and the UK Country Leader. This role requires someone who knows how to build and maintain a strong internal network and is comfortable in a matrixed environment.

Role and Responsibilities

The primary accountability of this role is to maintain an internal communications strategy and plan that influences stakeholders, drives culture and connection in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment. It's all about connecting a wide range of audiences in innovative and creative ways within a global, UK and functional client base.

Key Attributes

  • Experienced employee communications professional - minimum six years' experience of employee communications experience at a managerial level - preferably in a global organisation
  • Proven broad range of communications: the ability to be strategic, yet also execute
  • Experienced in partnering across large organisations: with key internal stakeholders, the wider Global Communications Team and external vendors/agencies to drive active understanding and engagement
  • Strong organizational and project management skills: with a focus on planning, setting priorities, managing process, and delivering results under tight time constraints
  • Technology savvy: able to harness new media effectively with a keen understanding of all types of media/channels that will engage our internal audiences
  • Proven experience of influencing, supporting and possibly leading virtual and cross-functional teams - focusing on outcomes and impact rather than input
  • Strong change management experience including complex organizational and cultural change
  • Excellent problem-solver with a high level of maturity and good judgment
  • Hands-on, ''roll up sleeves' approach, and ability, to getting the job done
