Communications Manager - Retail Banking - Business Change - London

A leading U.K. Bank based in London is currently looking for a Communications Manager to join one of their Readiness Teams.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify, understand and report on impacts on clients and colleagues from the workstream activity
  • Develop detailed client and colleague journeys to explain the change
  • Champion the interest of impacted clients and colleagues through the change life cycle
  • Support development of appropriate treatment strategies in respect of those impacts
  • Develop colleague roadmap and business readiness plan for the workstream
  • Complete detailed analysis on the approaches required to migrate client and colleague impacts (communication and/or training needs analysis)
  • Define and recommend the right communication & training strategy
  • Create a detailed communication & training plan
  • Design, create and deliver high impacting and creative communications
  • Design, create and deliver presentations and briefings
  • Maintain a breadth of view of client and colleague communications and consolidate messages for maximum effect
  • Manage share point sites, blogs and work with Digital to ensure relevant web pages are up to date
  • Where necessary organise logistics for presentations and briefings (booking rooms, joining instructions, evaluation surveys)
  • Measure and report on effectiveness of interventions

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills within financial services (ideally retail banking):

  • Client and colleague impact assessment
  • Experience of working in a fast paced operational change programme is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of commercial banking would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment as it relates to banking would be advantageous.
  • First class written communication skill
  • Confident presentation skills
  • Experience of influencing key stakeholders
