We are seeking a graduate to provide recruitment and administrative support, assist in telephone interviewing and coordinate a large scale telephone interviewing of candidates, using applicant tracking system along with updating and reporting. This role is availability immediately for 6 months.

COMPANY/DEPARTMENT INTRODUCTION

This post works within the Student Employability and Academic Success (SEAS) department within Education and Student Support. The department supports students in many areas such as providing one-to-one guidance and careers information to students. It places an emphasis on co-operative working, joining with alumni and businesses to help students learn more about their chosen career paths.

This post sits within the work placements team who provide support and guidance to students to enable them to find work placement opportunities which will help them in reaching their career goals after University. Currently this team is supporting a new initiative within the University by supporting and undertaking recruitment services for a large organisation whose staff will be undertaking their apprenticeship studies at the University.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of Role

To provide recruitment and administrative support for the recruitment process. The role holder will assist in telephone interviewing and in the coordination of large scale telephone interviewing of candidates, ATS (applicant tracking system) updating and reporting and other ad-hoc duties. As the recruitment project winds down the role holder will be expected to use the skills developed throughout the post to assist with other SEAS related projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proactively undertake telephone interviews of candidates
  • Proactively coordinate large scale telephone interviewing
  • Reporting on candidate progress/updates within ATS and other ad-hoc reporting as required
  • Updating system with candidates details/information
  • First point of contact for candidate issues
  • System trouble shooting with IT supplier
  • Work across other teams within SEAS to develop survey and systems solutions for students and graduates
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Training and Development opportunities

The successful candidate will undertake training to enable them to conduct telephone interviews and use the appropriate systems to fulfil their role.

Level of Support

The successful candidate will meet regularly with their line manager to ensure support is available as needed.

Other Requirements

  • Graduate of a UK university within the last 3 years
  • Right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
