Content & Communication Manager - Abingdon (Oxfordshire) - Initial 5- month contract

Content & Communication Manager required to join a reputable ICT support and teaching company based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on an initial 5-month contract.

You will be responsible for the creation and effective distribution of content across the client's portfolio

Job Responsibilities

  • Generating high quality and engaging content to support the client's strategy of thought leadership, as well as effectively engaging prospective and current customers throughout the acquisition funnel and customer life cycle. Content will cover a wide range of digital and physical asset types such as whitepapers and case studies to webinars, infographics, sales tools and social media content. Also responsible for generating content to support internal comms briefs.
  • Optimising effectiveness of digital & physical content assets. Optimising clarity of communication, ensuring consistency and relevance to core propositions, creating flexible content to reflect the needs of different target audiences.
  • Effective content distribution. Identifying optimal channels for content distribution, working with paid owned and earned providers. Measuring effectiveness

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Content generation and communication: including writing for multiple formats and different target audiences, understanding of appropriate content formats for different objectives and channels. Ability to adapt existing content as well as generate new content to optimise communication effectiveness and engagement.
  • Digital & social channel marketing: strong experience and understanding of SEO, PPC, social channels and building a content ecosystem
  • Research & analytics: Comfortable with using analytics to gain insight, improve effectiveness and demonstrate ROI.
  • Collaboration & understanding. Ability to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to understand their needs, understand the business area to the required depth and translate the effectively into content and communication solutions.
  • Communication & Influencing: excellent communication skills with an exceptionally high standard of written communication. Professional, presentable, dependable and self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Planning and Organisation: excellent understanding of marketing and project planning techniques. Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously, accurately and according to priority
  • B2B experience: of using content and digital marketing in a B2B marketing funnel, from customer acquisition through to life cycle management.
