Emissions Certification Engineer, Legal, Regulations
Location: Peterborough - Commutable from Northampton, Cambridge, Kettering
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £20-£25 per hour

Our client, a global organisation, is currently looking for an Emissions Certification Engineer to take responsibility for interpreting, communicating and leading the enterprise to a strong position of global emissions regulatory conformance. The successful Emissions Certification Engineer will have demonstrable experience with owning and delivering engine emissions certifications, strong stakeholder management experience and proven knowledge of global emissions processes. The role of an Emissions Certification Engineer will also require excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively manage projects and proven experience of reading legal documentation/regulatory materials. Candidates applying for the role of Emissions Certification Engineer must also be comfortable and confident with regularly communicating with difficult external contacts and manage expectations.
Essential skills:
- A legal or engineering background (Degree level)
- Previous experience of stakeholder/customer management
- Interest in and ability to read legal documentation or regulatory materials
- Ability to maintain certification as product changes
- Understand and articulate each countries certification requirements
Desirable:
- A good working knowledge of the associated legal obligations and business processes
- Extensive experience with managing projects by understanding and conforming to requirements according to individual country
- Demonstrable experience with adhering to global emissions regulatory standards
- Excellent communication skills, both with internal and external contacts
