Description

Position Purpose:

You will work closely with various departments to ensure that optimal levels of stock are maintained, balancing working capital with service level. You will be required to operate at a strategic, tactical and executional levels within the business. You will also provide support and guidance for the businesses in Eastern Europe, Nordics and South Africa who are not running on SAP.

The EMEA SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operational Planning) process development and stewardship also sits within your scope of responsibility, supported by one of your direct reports.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Roles:

Your team comprises four direct reports and your responsibility extends as follows:

  • Manage and support the EMEA Material Data Steward/Data Admin Team Leader, one of your Direct Reports.
    • Data integrity is key to the smooth workings of SAP, as is quick turnaround of NPI code creations in a fast moving B2B distribution environment.
    • Ensure the Data Team receive appropriate strategic guidance to develop systems and processes to support the growing business across the SAP Countries.
    • Ensure the Data Team are sharing best practice with the non SAP businesses in EMEA, standardising data wherever possible.
  • Manage and support the EMEA Supply Planning Leader and her extended team across 5 countries.
    • Ensure customer service level requirements are balanced with stock investment throughout the Company.
    • Ensure standard replenishment processes are followed across the various SAP enabled countries.
    • Provide support and best practice inventory management guidance for the non-SAP countries across EMEA.
  • Manage and support the EMEA SIOP Leader and her team of Demand Planners.
    • Ensure we are developing maturity in our SIOP process, through continuous improvement and adherence to standards set by the Honeywell SIOP Council.
    • In conjunction with the Business Leadership, review and sign off the country level MRP forecasts after comparison against sales targets and strategic growth areas.
    • Own the SIOP Supply Planning process phase and chair the monthly meeting.
    • Have an understanding of different forecasting techniques and work with the Demand Planners to ensure we are using the most appropriate forecasting algorithms available within the APO forecast tool.
  • Mentor the Southern Region SIOP Lead who is currently assigned to a project to accelerate the deployment of the ADI Business Excellence Process in France & Nordics.

In addition to managing your four direct reports, through your experience & knowledge of best practice inventory management, you will be expected to contribute in forward facing strategic discussions on business development/routes to market/stocking strategy/distribution strategy/etc.

You will also be required to provide data and narrative content to the monthly management operating review along with root cause analysis for any metrics within your sphere of control that are out of tolerance.

You will also use your analytical and product knowledge skills to provide ad-hoc analysis and input into any business improvement initiatives, supporting other departments as needed.

Finally, there are a number of routine weekly, quarterly and annual tasks that require completion in a timely manner. These include but are not limited to:

  • Weekly stock value & availability metric reporting.
  • Monthly management review data reporting, analysis and feedback.
  • Monthly Vendor OTTR reporting.
  • Quarterly WEEE declaration for the UK Business.
  • Provision of quarterly vendor stock rotation opportunities for review by Product Management team.
  • Calculating vendor price movement support claims when vendors reduce their prices.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Fluent English language skills, written and oral. Additional language (French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch) beneficial but not essential.
  • Bachelor's degree

Experience Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory replenishment and management gained in a fast moving, short life cycle, high sku count, B2B distribution business is critical.
  • SIOP experience is essential.
  • Experience in managing a culturally diverse team, dispersed across many different countries is essential.

Qualification Requirements & Certificates

  • Educated to degree level.
  • CIPS qualified preferred.
  • Excellent SAP sourcing & replenishment knowledge critical.
  • Strong Excel data analysis skills critical.
  • Good working knowledge of Powerpoint/Word/Access required.
