Marketing/Events Manager - London

I am currently seeking a junior-level event professional to join the regional EMEA team, supporting client event activities in the region. This is for an initial 3 month contract based in Canary Wharf. This individual will assist with planning and execution of client conferences and meetings, industry partnerships, ticketed entertainment events and media events.

Responsibilities include regional event planning and execution, monitoring and maintaining the regional events calendar, managing the exhibiting materials inventory and ensuring a consistent brand experience at events. Actively manage and partner with key vendors to provide cost effective and innovative methods of operation. US Travel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate directly with executives to determine meeting objectives and develop formats
  • Prepare event proposals outlining needs assessment, topic, objectives, format, budget, venue considerations and timeline
  • Coordinate all event logistics prior to and during key client events. Includes venue selections, onsite logistics, materials development, audio visual requirements, room set-ups, food and beverage, transportation, etc.
  • Develops event communications and oversees database management and online registration tools
  • Coordinates production of promotional event materials for high impact conferences and events; Collaborates with the marketing team for design, layout and production of any event marketing materials
  • Provide post-event summaries to include attendance statistics, evaluation summaries, and budgets
  • Manages event budgets while ensuring that expenses are within established guidelines; process all related payments and invoices
  • Manage several projects simultaneous in a dynamic work environment while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain internal stakeholder relations
  • Oversee hospitality program and ticket distribution, approval and reporting process
  • Flexibility for working hours as considerable mornings, evenings and overtime may be involved during peak seasons
  • Approximately 10% US-based travel may be required

Education and Experience:

  • A college degree or equivalent business experience
  • 4-6 years in event management/marketing, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Communications/event marketing background desirable
