Sourcing Marketing Manager.

A leading financial services business are looking to hire an experienced Sourcing Marketing Manager to join their team of sourcing managers

Overall Purpose of Role

The role holder will be responsible to shape and execute deals within the Sourcing tower with a prime focus on Marketing servies.

Will be directly responsible for managing commercial deals in excess of £600m annually and are required to work collaboratively and strategically with the internal teams sitting within Procurement and Legal and SME functions, and with External Suppliers, to deliver a consistently high quality product, service and minimise risk to the firm.

High expectation to work closely in partnership with the Category Management teams and supplier management teams to provide an end to end view of the supplier life cycle, to maximise value, whilst reducing risk to the firm.

The role holder will provide strong category knowledge and sourcing support to manage commercial negotiations with third parties, liaise with key business users across the business to ensure favourable commercial terms which mitigate business risk. Ensuring end to end sourcing cycle visibility, creating line of sight on demand, cost, service and risk.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for end to end delivery of complex/high value deals primarily for Marketing Services with third parties.

The role holder will manage end to end Sourcing events including RFX, commercial negotiations with relevant suppliers and partner as appropriate with the legal support teams to ensure consistent and favourable commercial terms which always mitigate business risk for the business.

The role holder will be accountable for ensuring that all relevant Sourcing documentation is input to the deal management and contract systems to be in compliance with business and internal procurement policy requirements.

Responsible for key process activities across the sourcing team ensuring adherence to all control, risk and governance processes.

Person Specification

The successful candidate should have a detailed knowledge of appropriate commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class deals. They should have a proven ability to conduct engagement/communication with suppliers and spend categories.

The successful candidate should have excellent contract negotiation skills, the relevant Financial Services experience, strong networking and stakeholder management skills.

They should be recognised internally as technical expert and SME in the areas of Sourcing for their category and have a good understanding and experience with the full suite of Sourcing tools and techniques

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications

Extensive experience of Strategic Sourcing within Marketing Services, including the following subcategories:

  • Media
  • Creative
  • Digital
  • Market Research
  • Sponsorship
  • PR
  • Print
  • Sales and Promotion

They must understand various commercial value drivers with a good knowledge of best procurement industry practices.

Strong networking and senior stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPS or CPM/CPSM
  • MBA/Post-Grad degree
  • Team leadership experience at a range of levels
  • Strong commercial generalist across multiple sourcing category areas (Eg. HR/Professional Services etc)
