Cost Modeller
Location - Titchfield
Pay Rate - £23.49 per hour
Contract - 6 months
TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical Responsibilities:- Leading the planning and development of the Cost model, including the design and creation of excel models for business cases.
- Leading engagement with stakeholders (including Finance and Business Leads) to identify, define and quantify costs, negotiating with stakeholders to agree the key costs drivers for inclusion in the cost models and ultimately the business case.
- Owning and the developing a regular refreshment cycle to ensure the cost model is up to date and contains the latest organisational structures and associated costs.
- Provide guidance and advice to project teams on the requirements and development of business case, using organisational templates and HMT 5 case model.
- Assists with the creation of reporting for the business case by developing reporting templates from the cost model. Presenting Cost Model rationale to senior managers and business representatives, working with key stakeholders to anticipate and mitigate issues whilst engaging with senior management.
- Ensures that all relevant organisational factors for change are incorporated within a comprehensive Business Case.
- Develops configuration management techniques to ensure that the cost model retains validity throughout the programme lifecycle.
- have in-depth expertise of applying financial controls and monitoring within a project environment to enable senior managers to make timely and effective decisions
- have excellent organisational abilities being able to prioritise and deliver valued outputs in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
- be able to call upon experience gained in a number of posts within the Project Delivery profession and across a range of delivery environments
- have excellent communication skills and be confident briefing Senior Stakeholders
- be a leader who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and an effective team player who is able to support colleagues in the delivery of organisational goals
- be comfortable researching and applying new ideas and ways of doing things. Encouraging and supporting innovation from others
Relevant Qualifications Skills and Experience:

Qualifications
A recognised financial qualification (or be working towards it) (eg AAT, ACCA) and have experience in applying financial controls and monitoring within a project environment.

Proficiency using MS Word
