Electrical Design Engineer role - Devon
I am looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for new role with one of my major clients in the southern part of England, which manufactures specialist products for the water industry as well as providing relevant support to an on going water project the client is currently running.
This Electrical Design Engineer position is seen as a key role for the business in the short term as it seeks to increase capacity in order to continue to grow. The current position is for 6 months with a possible extension.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Effective communication with customers in order to manager the Development, Design and Customisation of Electrical Control Systems to meet their needs.
- Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including:
- Single line diagrams
- Load schedules
- Block Cable diagrams
- Control philosophies
- Instrument schedules
- Control system & communications block diagrams
- Liaison with Project Management team regarding job progress and to ensure all documentation is supplied to contract terms.
- Co-ordination of delivery, erection and commissioning of Control Panels and Motor Control Centres.
- Have experience using AMTECH or relevant software
Experience required:
- Ability to produce complete drawing packages, electrical layouts and schematic drawings.
- Experience of having worked in the Water Industry would be desirable but is not essential.
- Good problem solving and diagnostic skills, attention to detail and a track record for delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues as well as having the ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
