Background
Today, we are a global energy company that generates, trades, and markets power on a large scale. We also procures, stores, transports, and supplies commodities such as natural gas, LNG, and coal
as well as energy-related products. In the future, we might develop to a producer of fuels from alternative, sustainable feedstocks to support CO2 emission reduction of e.g. mobility sector.
We are i.p. working on sustainable fuels for hard-to-electrify mobility sectors (e.g. marine and aviation). Alternative fuels deployment in aviation and marine sectors are still in infant stage, with small volumes
currently being produced, but we expect the demand for alternative fuels in these modalities will grow significantly in the coming years.
Our role is not supply of technology, but we could partner up with technology developers to commercialize technologies. Nevertheless, in the field of sustainable aviation fuels we do require partner for
commercialization (e.g. customers/ airlines). A comprehensive analysis of the value chain of conventional and sustainable aviation fuels has been conducted.
Objective: Roadmap for partnering/ partnering strategy in the field of sustainable aviation fuel
Tasks:
- Analysis of market, current situation, partners
- Partners capabilities + requirements
- Roadmap for partnering/ partnering strategy in the field of sustainable aviation fuel
Experience / Must have
- Responsible for company strategy or business development
- Plant/ refinery manager
- Managing director of subsidiaries for biofuels of global players
- Master's degree in business, engineering or science
- Analytical, business and strategic expertise to quickly and holistically understand, evaluate and develop business models
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, documentation and cross-functional management skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of aviation fuel value chain, fuel market and corresponding entry barriers and forces
- Analyse relevant players and their interests or motivation towards sustainable aviation fuels along the whole value chain
- Several years relevant experience in the aviation fuel or related sectors, ideally in business or corporate development, such as o Petrochemical/ refinery: production/ blending of conventional fuels
- Experience Trading and distribution of fuels
- Production industry for alternative/ bio-fuels
- Language skills: English mandatory, German advantageous
