Description
Our client, a leading fund manager are looking for an experienced Developer to join their private equity department on an initial 6 month contract basis to work on configuring and integrating systems to support business needs as well as providing 3rd line support for all BAU queries and change requests.
Tasks/Responsibilities
- Provide technical impact assessments including accurate work estimates
- Carry out thorough technical analysis, challenge/propose/validate & build appropriate solutions meeting business requirements
- Manufacture test data and carry out testing of components delivered by the team
- Provide key input/feedbacks on Agile board, and chair team standup meetings when required
- Peer reviews of colleagues deliverables in order to drive up quality and ensure consistency
Skills/Experience Required
- Highly numerical and have ability to understanding & implement numerical calculations efficiently
- Strong analytical skills and able to derive effective test cases to eliminate regression impact
- Expert in two or more of the following technology: SAS, VB.NET, T-SQL, ETL tool
- Have at least 5 years of proven track records in financial application development, of which at least 3 years with main focus on data analysis/reporting in a large financial organisation
- Good experience working on 3rd party financial software
- Strong Excel skills and knowledgeable in configuration/presentation of Excel spreadsheets
- Experience in enterprise development and/or data warehouse schema design
