Operations Administrator

Maternity Cover (minimum 6 months)

Horley (Near Gatwick Airport)

Part Time, two days per week (flexible)

£25,000 per annum (pro rata)

About the Company:-

We are a long established export packing and case-making company with a small, but friendly and professional team offering high standards of work and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to provide maternity cover at our busy office in Horley. The job is varied and interesting providing different challenges every day. The position is part-time although the candidate would be expected to provide additional holiday cover with notice.

Candidate requirements: -

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills including a good telephone manner
  • Communication and administrative skills including use of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • General knowledge of exports and shipping procedures would be helpful
  • No industry experience is necessary however a willingness to learn is essential

Responsibilities: -

  • Respond to customer enquiries via phone or email and provide quotations
  • Booking and arranging of collections and deliveries to and from our warehouse
  • Liaison with operations/warehouse staff and assist with managing workload
  • Light packing and documentation for specialist customers (full training provided)
  • Ordering of stock / materials and maintenance of stock records
  • General office administration

Training:-

Full training will be provided including a three day course.
