Role: Contracts Manager
Location: South East England
Duration: 3 months interim
A private healthcare organisation are searching for a Contracts Manager to join them on an interim basis. This role requires some travel across the area to involved organisations, and flexible working is available. The role is outside of IR35.
Your role will be to manage the responsibility for a full and complex portfolio of contracts, working alongside the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). This will include working on the most risky and complex contracts in the existing portfolio during a process of mediation, therefore you need to have experience operating at a senior level.
You will be ensuring appropriate liaison between the organisation and the commissioners, and supporting service redesign and the modernisation of acute services for the CCG portfolio, to maximise opportunities for integration and to deliver community based care.
A suitable candidate requires:
- Experience in performance managing a number of contracts to include data review, monthly challenges, forecasting, capacity planning
- Previous experience of contract negotiations with key providers
- Ability to analyse and interpret a range of complex service data and information, including capacity and demand data, and financial and management information
- Experience working with CCG's, with a knowledge of QIPP programme delivery
- Experience in dealing with provider performance issues and escalating these when necessary
- Able to monitor quality concerns
- Ability to lead CCG or provider Board meetings when needed
- Experience of financial contract performance management of NHS contracts
- Previous experience of meeting nationally specified contractual deadlines and completion of all contract documentation
- Knowledge regarding the procurement functions delivered by a third party
