Markets Compliance manager

My high profile banking client are currently recruiting for a Compliance Manager with Financial services Markets experience that have the ability to work independently.

The Companies Markets business focuses on FX trading and also engages in equities, Fixed Income and money market instrument trading together with securities lending and collateral management.

The role:

The candidate will be responsible for assisting in providing compliance advice to the companies Markets and Corporate Treasury businesses. As a part of the second line defence function provide advise, monitoring, training, oversight & challenge to business lines and where relevant.

More generally Markets Compliance Advisory ensures that the business line and business partner functions are provided with accurate and timely advice of regulatory compliance issues. You will work with business lines and partner functions to assist them to address the impact of regulatory change(s) and to manage businesses relationships with relevant regulators and seek to embed a compliance culture and conduct model throughout the organisation.

Support Market Abuse surveillance in respect of EMEA Markets Group and Corporate Treasury business lines operating in the UK in line with the EMEA surveillance model;

Represent Compliance and provide appropriate challenge at relevant internal/external clients meetings where required.

Essential skills and Experience:

Detailed knowledge of FCA and PRA regulations and relevant UK and EU financial services legislation.

Compliance experience as a regulator dealing with Front Office traders is desired.

Experience in compliance at a medium or large securities firm would be beneficial

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

The Candidate must demonstrate:

The ability to multitask high-priority items, the ability to manage through confrontational issues successfully and tactfully and the ability to evaluate risks and identify mitigating controls.

Excellent Interpersonal skills:

Good analytical skills

Good organizational and presentation Skills
