Harvey Nash is now recruiting for a Finance Officer to work on a 12 month contract in the Dumfries location. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and dynamic Finance Officer to join our clients established Finance & Accounting Team. Based in Dumfries, you will be providing financial, accountancy and budgeting support and finance advice to our client.
Other responsibilities:
- Preparation and monitoring of Service/Capital operational budgets.
- Development of budget monitoring systems for client services and undertaking of Finance's budget monitoring responsibilities
- Provide advice on the effects of strategic budget decisions, financial codes, new developments/issues etc.
- Addressing the requirements of Corporate budgeting processes including the identification and development of savings/income generation proposals.
- Documentation of financial, accounting, budgeting, and monitoring systems.
- Liaise and work with a range of contacts and partners including the Service Management Team, budget holders and colleagues in Finance.
- Undertake Staff Appraisals and support the development of departmental staff development and appraisal schemes.
The ideal candidate is someone who is: -
- highly motivated, enthusiastic, committed and an effective team player and leader;
- a fully qualified Accountant (CCAB or equivalent recognised accountancy qualification);
- Consideration may be given to candidates who are part qualified
